Eligibility & award rules for the Young Investigator Award of 16th International Congress of Asian Society Against Dementia (16th ASAD)

 

Background:

The Young Investigator Award was established to encourage early career researchers to engage in dementia related research.

 

Eligibility and Requirements:

This award is granted to young investigators who are early career researchers aged 45 or under at the time of application.

 

Award Rules:

Applicants for the Young Investigator Awards must submit a brief CV and an abstract of their dementia-related research to the 16th ASAD via the conference website. No proprietary or confidential information should be included in the application.

 

The awardees will be judged by experts in two stages. In the first stage, the experts will review the abstract submissions and select the best eight. These eight candidates will be required to register for the 16th ASAD. In the second stage, the candidates will be invited to give an oral presentation in English during the Young Investigator session at the 16th ASAD conference. The presentation will be conducted either in-person or pre-recorded. Based on experts’ scores from the conference day, three award recipients will be selected. Award recipients will be announced on the conference website and each will receive award certificates and prizes (1st place: $500 USD; 2nd place: $ 300 USD; 3rd place $ 200USD). If there are no suitable candidates, then some or all of the unfilled spots may be vacated.
